Fans were thrilled when they discovered the dupe glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. With the high cost of upgrading armor in the game, having a fast and reliable way to generate items was crucial. While I didn't use the dupe glitch, I recognized its potential and felt bad when it was patched out. However, some players may wonder if they can remove the update that patched the dupe glitch in Tears of the Kingdom.
Can you revert Zelda Tears of the Kingdom to an old version?
While you can revert your version of Tears of the Kingdom to a previous version and use duplication glitches, I do not recommend this. This is because there is an easy way to do this. The only method to downgrade Tears of the Kingdom is to factory reset your Switch and then install the base version of the game.

Again, not recommended. If you decide to go through with this, ensure you have all the necessary cloud saves tied to your Nintendo account. Instead, I recommend playing the old-fashioned way or keeping an eye out for any new duplication glitch that is discovered.
How to prevent Zelda Tears of the Kingdom from Updating
While you can turn off auto-update, some players are still reporting that Tears of the Kingdom updates. Therefore, to ensure your version of Tears of the Kingdom does not update, you'll need to disable wifi or put it on airplane mode. If your Switch cannot connect to the internet, there is no possible way it can update.
Does the Dupe Glitch still work in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
At the time of writing, this duplication glitch works with version 1.1.2. in Tears of the Kingdom. YouTuber Kibblers Gaming showcases how to dupe items after the update. However, Nintendo will likely patch this glitch out soon, so you must either duplicate the items you need or turn off automatic updates.
