Mates are companions that will remain on your side of the side during a duel. Mates can be changed out in the profile tab in the top-left corner of the main menu. Once there, select the Edit button. Here you can change many features of your profile, including your Mate. Check out Konami's trailer about profile customization below!

More Mates can be purchased in the accessories tab in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel shop for Gems. Your Mate says a lot about you as both you and your opponent can see them during the duel. Your Mate will cheer you on and support you throughout the match.

Mates typically consist of monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Series such as Dark Magician, though other Mates are available too. Choose the Mate that best represents you or the one that appeals to you the most!
