Is Passwordle inspired by Wordle?

The password guessing game, Passwordle, directly credits Wordle as its main inspiration. Passwordle was created by Ashley Knowles in 2022 by using Hannah Park's open-source code for Wordle spin-offs. Players are tasked with guessing a random string of letters and symbols that make up a password.

Passwordle is technically the same as Wordle when it comes to general rules and mechanics. Players use green and yellow tiles to tell them how close they are to guessing the correct chain of characters. There are six guesses available to use.

This game can be quite tricky, though, due to how long and random the passwords are. This means you should use your guesses wisely. Don't be afraid to break out some scratch paper to organize your thoughts with.
