After several long years of constant teasing and drip-fed updates, the famed Duviri Paradox content update finally has a release date! I know I'm shocked, too, but this is no time to be awestruck. The Duviri Paradox is one of Digital Extreme's most ambitious content updates in Warframe's history, and there's a lot to take in. So, let's break it down so that we're all on the same page.
What is The Duviri Paradox in Warframe?
The Duviri Paradox is a new open-world area, akin to Earth or Deimos from previous updates. It follows the reins of the Drifter, fresh off the events of the New War storyline, and features a number of unique ways to play that are a departure from typical Warframe gameplay. For an undisclosed reason, the Drifter is trapped within Duviri, and escape is barred by a slew of obstacles.
As the Drifter, you'll be transversing a twisted, color-shifting world under the direct control of the Mad King: god-like Dominus Thrax. The world of the Duviri Paradox is not like any others, and to move across its ever-changing landscape, players will need to utilize every tool their Drifter has access to, including a special, horse-like mount called a Kaithe.

Duviri differs massively from other content in that it is designed to be highly repeatable due to the nature of the planet. Duviri exists beyond the norm. Its looping cycle signals a new beginning and a new ending on a consistent basis, and the Drifter must use these ever-spinning cycles to find an opening.
All new features in The Duviri Paradox
As mentioned previously, The Duviri Paradox contains a slew of new content never seen before in Warframe. This includes the following:
- The Duviri Roguelike - Due to Duviri's constant shifting, every adventure differs from one another once players leave the hub. Completion of tasks will unlock Decrees that offer significant gameplay changes, but only for that single Spiral. Explore enough of Duviri and earn Intrinsics to maintain permanent buffs and upgrades that transcend Duviri's Spirals themselves.
- An Adventure Without the Warframe - Under the Mad King's rule, Duviri is a dangerous place, and, as the Drifter, you have no access to a Warframe there, at least initially. Instead, the Drifter must utilize their own set of skills and weapons to crack open Duviri's endless cycles.
- The Mad King's Rule - On Duviri, Dominus Thrax is King, and he has assembled an army of Dax warriors and a massive entity called an Orowyrm to protect his kingdom. The Drifter will need to do something about them.
- The Shifting Duviri - Dominus Thrax's moods literally shift the landscape on Duviri on a whim, dramatically altering the look and shape of the world and even changing how enemies encountered act.
- The Duviri Circuit - An endless mode meant to test the most hardened of Warframe players in a sequence of familiar Mission types that change in every round. Face off against familiar and new enemies, and earn Decrees to boost the power of the Drifter and their Warframe.
- The Drifter's Mighty Steed - The Drifter is trapped in a fractured world controlled by a god, so you'll need a trusty steed by your side. Enter the Kaithe, a fully customizable horse-like mount that will learn to fly as you adventure through Duviri.
