In the March 2022 update to Vampire Survivors, many new additions were made to the game. This includes a brand-new evolution for the Pentagram. Previously, the Pentagram was a slightly lackluster weapon that wiped out everything on screen with a long cooldown. But with the addition of an evolution into the Gorgeous Moon, it’s far more viable as a weapon.
How do you evolve the Pentagram in Vampire Survivors?
To evolve the Pentagram, there are two steps. The first is to make sure you have the Crown passive item. The crown grants you +8% experience gained from gems per level. It increases five times when upgraded, up to a maximum of 40% experience from gems.
Next, you need to level up the Pentagram to level eight. Leveling the Pentagram lowers the cooldown and decreases the chances that the Pentagram’s activation will delete non-enemy items, such as gems and power-ups.
How to get Gorgeous Moon in Vampire Survivors
Once both of these prerequisites are met, simply pick up the next chest you find. The evolution of the Pentagram, the Gorgeous Moon, will have a chance to drop. If you’ve already met the requirements for other weapon evolutions, there’s a chance the Gorgeous Moon won’t drop, and instead, another evolution will.
The Gorgeous Moon is very different from the Pentagram. For one, there’s no chance its erasure will destroy items. The weapon also has three phases. The first phase is Generation, where it will passively attack enemies (a little like the lightning ring). This drops Gorgeous Gems, a unique type of experience gem. Next is Erasure, which is like the normal Pentagram attack. And finally, Magnet, where nearby gems and coins will be sucked toward the player. All these features make the Gorgeous Moon an incredible late-game weapon.
