Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was the very first reveal in the Summer Game Fest 2021, hosted by Geoff Keighley. The unique animation and wonderfully wacky humor immediately reminded fans of Borderlands, and rightfully so—Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was heavily inspired by the series.
In the words of Ashley Burch—Tiny Tina herself—the game is a "high fantasy take on a looter shooter." Despite the obvious traces back to Borderlands, Burch assures us that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is its own standalone game and can be enjoyed by both newcomers and veterans of the Borderlands series.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands contains all kinds of exciting features, from spell-casting to character customization. According to Burch, Tina not only guides the game's narrative, but will freely change it on a dime if she so pleases. Sounds chaotic—just how we like it.
The ultimate goal in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is to defeat the Dragon Lord, whose identity is purposely being kept a mystery for now. Hopefully we'll get to find out who this arch-nemesis of Tina's is before 2022, when the game is set to release.
