From the entrance to the room, players just have to head up the ladder and defeat the mini-boss wielding a spear to get their hands on the key. Thymesia has many of these enemies throughout the game, and many of them will drop important items like Shards, Alchemy Enhancers, and Ingredients. Defeating the spear-wielding enemy can be difficult, so players should take their time to learn the patterns and chip at their health.

Emerald is an NPC found in the Secret Room of the Sea of Trees that will provide insight into the game's lore. Throughout Thymesia's levels, players will obtain items from the various bosses in the game. Obtaining these Cores is a vital part of getting the game's endings. Figuring out how to obtain the ending requires insight from both Emerald and Aisemy. A combination of Cores is required to unlock the different endings of the game, and knowing the right combination will require learning as much about these Cores from both NPCs.
