In Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, each job you level up has a separate skill tree, but how do they work? As you gain job levels, you gain job points that you can allocate into a unique skill tree to gain new abilities, passives, and more. Yet, Square Enix has added an option that you can spend more job points to acquire the node you want instead of working your way down the tree, but is it worth it?

The most efficient method to use the skill tree is one of two ways, going down the skill tree with a small number of job points and picking the abilities you want. Or you can save up a chunk of job points, go down to the advanced class at the very bottom and hold unlock.
This will unlock all the nodes leading to this in one fell swoop, so you don't have to unlock them all individually. But it will not unlock side branches nodes. These you will have to do manually.
This can be done at any node on the tree. Each node going towards the very bottom of the tree adds the previous job cost on top of it, but once the previous node is unlocked, it seems to become cheaper because it no longer adds all the nodes in front of it.
We'll use the Samurai job as an example. To unlock Way of the Blade will only cost two Job Points now, instead of five, because all previous nodes are unlocked. Getting the nodes above it just shows the actual cost of the skill instead of the total of all nodes before it.
Another example, as a Dragoon with zero nodes unlocked, you need nine Job Points in total to reach the job Breaker. If you save up nine Job Points, you will unlock the following nodes.
- Lightbringer +4.6%.
- Jump Mastery.
- Run Through.
- Vanquish.
- Physical Damage +2.9%.
- Breaker.
So it can save you time and hassle by unlocking them all at once. Just remember to go back to each node you have unlocked to read what each one does or how it benefits the job.
