Valve unveiled a portable gaming console of their own. Designed to help PC users play their games on more than just their home computer, Valve created the Steam Deck for powerful gaming on the go. This portable PC promises to handle the most demanding games with ease. But what are some of the other features this device will provide?
Those hoping for a touch-screen can breathe a sigh of relief. The Steam Deck will offer a 7-inch touch screen that allows users to navigate the Steam interface when selecting games. It offers multitouch capacity so that Users can press several points at one time.
Not only will the system have a touch screen, but the Steam Deck features Trackpads that mimic the precision granted by a mouse and keyboard setup. This allows players to enjoy games that were never designed for handheld play. The system even has Gyro controls that grant an extra level of precision.
Reservations for the Steam Deck begin on July 16, 2021, at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT/6 PM BST. Starting at $399, there are several different storage capacities that consumers can purchase the system with:
- $399-64GB
- $529-256GB
- $649-512GB
