In Starfield, different types of resources are required to craft items and upgrade gear at the workbenches. These resources can be electrical components like Microsecond Regulators, or chemical compounds like Alkanes and Benzene. Here's where to find the latter in the game.
Where to find Benzene (C6Hn) in Starfield
I found quite a few sources of Benzene on the north pole of planet Akila in the Cheyenne star system. Fast travel or grav jump to this planet using the Starmap and select Scan Resources to reveal the resource availability. Click on a Benzene-rich region and land there to search for the compound.
Some other places with Benzene deposits include the planet Nesoi in Olympus and Chawla—the moon of Olivas in Alpha Centauri. In a single visit to a Benzene-rich region of these planets and moon, you can mine enough Benzene to fulfill your requirement. Feel free to explore more places across the Settled Systems for this resource.

How to get Benzene in Starfield
Benzene can be mined from vents like the one shown in the above picture. Simply approach a Benzene vent and press the interact button when the Harvest prompt appears. Don't stay too long near the vents to avoid toxic gas damage. Furthermore, you don't have to go near every vent you see as it may have some other resource. You can use the hand scanner to identify Benzene vents from a distance.
