What is the Abyss Race in Spligate?

Gotta portal fast!

Splitgate is a fast-paced FPS game that features the unique use of portals to get around its maps and take out your foes. But just because it is an FPS, it doesn't mean the only thing you can do is shoot people. Splitgate has another mode, and this is called Race.

Race is a game mode that requires you to move around the map and collect disco balls. You can set high scores and complete weekly/daily challenges. One of these is to complete the Abyss Race. You may be wondering what is the Abyss Race.

The Abyss Race is simply a race on the Abyss map. To complete this, simply head to the training tab from the main menu. The first option is the Race group. Click on that, and Splitgate will take you to another menu. Click the arrows at the bottom left of your screen to scroll to Abyss, a standard map. You cannot do races on simulation maps.

Once you have selected Abyss, Splitgate will transport you to the map with no weapons, only your portals. You must use these in combination with your movement skills to collect all of the disco balls. In the end, Splitgate will add your time to the scoreboards, where you can see those who completed the Abyss Race the fastest.
