Prove which Pokémon type is superior as Splatoon and Pokémon collaborate for Splatfest

Go Team Grass!

Splatfests are always heated competitions, but Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are turning up the heat by making this next Splatfest Pokémon-themed. In this competition, players will compete to see the best starter type: Fire, Water, and Grass.

The Splatoon Twitter states, "Breaking news for the next Splatfest! The theme celebrates the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Which first partner Pokémon would you choose? Grass-type, Fire-type, or Water-type?" You'll get your opportunity to show which starter type you choose between November 11, 2022, and November 13, 2022.

This will be the second Splatfest, following the gear, grub, and fun Splatfest, which had a great turnout and saw Team Gear winning it all. We expect a similar turnout for this Splatfest, but we hope the results will be a little more even and spread out between the teams.

This Splatfest comes right before the launch the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and we will likely get the results around the launch of the newest Pokémon titles. If you want to show your support for your favorite Pokémon starter type ahead of its launch, jump into Splatoon 3 and help your type's team claim victory.
