The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim contains a massive world full of adventure, monsters, and loot. Many of these combine in the various quests that make up the title, including the In My Time of Need quest. You can find a guide on how to complete the In My Time of Need quest below.
How to complete In My Time of Need in Skyrim
You will likely receive this quest early on when entering Whiterun. This quest has multiple steps and multiple different outcomes depending on how you handle it. Here is a step-by-step guide to completing the In My Time of Need in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Speak to the Alik' r Warriors
You should encounter the pair of Redguard bounty hunters at Whiterun's entrance, but it is also possible to meet them patrolling outside the city. They will ask the player to help locate a Redguard woman, who they claim is missing.
Locate Saadia, the Redguard Woman
The Redguard woman is named Saadia and is located within The Bannered Mare in Whiterun. Upon speaking to her, you have the option to inform her of the bounty hunters looking for her. She will then ask you to follow her upstairs and speak privately.

Speak to Saadia
You can follow her upstairs and listen to what she has to say, or you can turn her over immediately. If you decide to reveal her location to the bounty hunters, you can complete the quest and claim your reward. Otherwise, you can hear her out and learn why she is running.
The Redguard Warriors are actually assassins sent to kill her for speaking out in Hammerfell. Should you offer to help her, she will tell you that the pair work for a bounty hunter named Kematu and ask that you kill him.
Hand her over to the Alik'r Warriors
If you did not choose to help Saadia, you can return to the Redguard Warriors. The Alik'r pair will ask you to lure her to the Whiterun Stables. Doing so will result in her capture and, ultimately, her death.
Locate the bounty hunter Kematu
If you did not turn in Saadia, you must find Kematu. Head to the Dragonsreach Dungeon in Whiterun and speak to the Alik'r prisoner. If you agree to bail the prisoner out by paying 100 gold, he will inform you that Kematu can be found at Swindler's Den. If you have already cleared this dungeon, you do not need to complete this step.
Kill Kematu or help him
Clear out Swindler's Den and confront the bounty hunter Kematu. You can listen to Kematu, who explains that Saadia is a traitor and must face Hammerfell justice. If you refuse, you will need to battle Kematu and some other enemies. If you have a change of heart, you can once again reveal Saadia's location and lure her into a trap.

Return to Saadia
If you did not betray Saadia, you simply need to return to her in Whiterun and let her know Kematu will not bother her anymore. Doing so will get you a reward, and the other two Alik'r bounty hunters will eventually give up the search.
Should you help or turn in Saadia in Skyrim
Ultimately, it does not matter whether you aid Saadia or turn her over to the Redguard Warriors—either choice will reward you with 500 gold. It comes down to the type of character you are playing. Would your character save Saadia or simply hand her over to the bounty hunters?
