While using the EA App, whether you're playing on Mac or Windows, there are sometimes problems. The Sims 4 may decide not to launch. Or maybe it has launched, but it is taking way too long to load with no end in sight. Here's what to do!
What to do when Sims 4 is not launching
If your Sims 4 game will not launch at all from the EA App, you have a problem on your hands. It could be a variety of things and will require some testing to figure out. Check for any of these problems:
- Repair your game files under the Manage tab.
- Check for any updates for Sims 4 via the EA App.
- Check to make sure you don't have any broken mods on your computer.
- Update any necessary drivers on your PC.
- Reboot your PC.

Why is The Sims 4 taking forever to load?
There are a handful of reasons why The Sims 4 may take way too long to load. To remedy the solution, you may have to do some troubleshooting to determine the root cause. Many players will simply need a reboot or to remove some mods. Others may be unlucky to find they have too little storage or a low-performance computer:
- Try restarting your PC.
- Review the EA App for any Sims 4 updates.
- Check your disk and storage space.
- Verify that you don't have any broken, corrupted, or outdated mods.
- Make sure you don't have a PC that has specs too low to run Sims 4.
