To celebrate the launch of Sea of Thieves Season 9, Twitch and Rare have teamed up for a new set of Twitch Drops. The cosmetics up for grabs include the Gears of War-themed Omen set, which players can get free of charge.
How to get the Omen cosmetics in Sea of Thieves
Some long-time Sea of Thieves players have the Omen set unlocked already, but for those out there who didn't get the chance the first time around, you now have another via Twitch Drops. To unlock it, start by linking your Sea of Thieves and Twitch accounts together, and then watching a streamer with drops enabled for at least an hour.
The cosmetics are broken up into two sets, and players will get the Wheel, Cannons, and Capstan by watching for an hour from March 16th to 18th. Meanwhile, watching from the 18th to 20th will reward players with Hull, Flag, Figurehead, and Sails. Viewers will be notified when the cosmetics are earned, and all they'll have to do is accept them on Twitch.
How to claim the Omen cosmetics in Sea of Thieves
Once you claim the cosmetics on Twitch after watching for an hour, it's as simple as logging into Sea of Thieves and getting the goodies. If you are already logged into Sea of Thieves, you'll need to log out and back in to get the new cosmetics to show up in your inventory.
To put on the new boat cosmetics, visit the ship customization chest by the shipwright. It's found on the dock next to your boat, so it's not too hard to track down. From there, all you have to do is dig through the chest to find the cosmetics you are looking for.
