Rune Factory 5 is a story-heavy game, and getting married to your favorite character can be a challenge. Marriage is very much an in-game goal, one that you won't be able to accomplish for dozens of hours. You will even need to unlock an Engagement Ring in order to propose.
In order to get the Engagement Ring recipe, you must beat the game and then accept the request to prepare yourself for marriage. You will need to craft the Engagement Ring, you only need to be level 20 to craft this item, and it costs an ore and a gemstone—making it one of the cheaper recipes in the game.
Once you have crafted the Engagement Ring and met the other marriage requirements, you can use it to propose to your favorite character. You can marry any available character in the game regardless of gender, and you can date multiple characters at once.
Keep in mind that you can only marry one character, so make sure you see everyone's events before you commit. You also may want to make a separate save to see all of the marriages.
