One of the biggest draws to many of the farming sim games like Rune Factory 5 is the option to get married. There are twelve different characters to choose from, each with their own goals and unique personalities. Getting married isn't an easy task, though, and you will need to fulfill some requirements before unlocking the feature.
How to unlock marriage in Rune Factory 5
There are quite a few tasks you must complete before the ability to get married unlocks:
- Meet all the townsfolk, including those whom you must save and meet further into the game's story.
- Get a character to ten hearts.
- Ask the character to date you.
- See all three of a character's story events, and then complete their final event.
- Buy a double bed.
- Make an engagement ring and present it to your chosen partner.
Luckily, you can date multiple characters to see their story events, and marriage partners aren't gender locked. For the most part, marriage won't become an option until you are deep into the game's story. If you are looking to have kids, then you will need to wait even longer.
Spend your time getting to know all twelve candidates while you are progressing through the game. For the most part, marriage is considered an end goal in Rune Factory 5.
