Roblox: How to get free Robux

Check out these promotions to get some free Robux!

Very few Roblox users, including myself, can deny the allure of free Robux, so it's important to consider and know which methods of obtaining them are legitimate and which ones should be avoided. More often than not, the promise of free Robux is just that, an attempt at alluring naive players to give away personal information or complete some sort of task. To help navigate these scams, I created this quick guide where I'll be going over the best, and most reliable, ways to grab some free Roblox cash.

Microsoft Rewards

Microsoft Rewards is a 100% trusted and free service that allows users to complete surveys, play games, and utilize search queries to earn Microsoft Points. These points, once built up, can then be donated to various causes and charities, or used to purchase gift cards from a handful of stores, including Roblox. The point requirements for Roblox gift cards change frequently, and certain offers are only available at certain times, but the general list of offers can be found below.

  • 100 Robux = 1,500 Microsoft Points
  • 200 Robux = 3,000 Microsoft Points
  • 400 Robux = 6,000 Microsoft Points
  • 800 Robux = 12,000 Microsoft Points
  • 1,000 Robux = 15,000 Microsoft Points

To begin collecting Microsoft Points, you'll first need to create a Microsoft account, or login using an existing Microsoft email and password. Once you've done this, you will be taken to the Microsoft Rewards home page—here you will find a list of daily challenges to complete that will help get you started earning points. To see your point progress and check what else you can earn from these points, check out the Microsoft Rewards redemption page.

Roblox Affiliate Program

When Roblox referral codes were discontinued in 2015, it wasn't long before the Roblox Affiliate Program was born—a similar system of allowing users to earn Robux for promoting experiences, items, and catalogs. This system still works today, but it isn't very well known. To join the Affiliate Program, all you need to do is click the share icon next to any experience or avatar item, copy the link, send it to a friend, and have them create a Roblox account from your link.

Once your link is used, you'll automatically be enrolled in the program. There's no set limit as to how many referrals you can have, so send as many links as you'd like! If multiple people join Roblox through your link, you will simply have multiple referrals.

Each time one of your referrals purchases Robux, you will be awarded 5% of their total expenses. There's also an extra incentive for Roblox developers—if you create a Roblox experience, share it with friends, and have them create an account and join your experience. As a reward, you will be given the standard 5% for any of their future purchases, plus an extra 5% boost because they visited your experience.

Giveaways

Though this is the least sound method of the three, keeping an eye out on social media for Robux giveaways is still worth mentioning. It's also worth mentioning however, that interacting with a user hosting a giveaway should never require you to give out any personal information—if the giveaway host says that they need your Roblox login information in order to award you with the prize, step away from the conversation and remove yourself from the giveaway. An honest creator or user giving away any amount of Robux will not need any personal information from you!
