Thanks to the Art update released on Jan. 15, 2022, Islands has expanded into the world of art bidding, collecting, and displaying! With the addition of the Art Museum, players can now view and bid on a variety of paintings, sculptures, and more. To find out how you can get in on the art scene, continue reading below.
Where is the Art Museum?
The Art Museum has seemingly been added as a permanent member of the main Hub's shopping/downtown district. To access the Art Museum, travel to the main Hub and locate the path that goes directly between Jon's store and Petur's bakery. This path is pictured below.
As you follow along this path, you will pass Doug the Oil Baron and Dom the Wholesaler—continue walking past them towards the fishing pond.
Once you've reached the pond's dock, you should be able to see a colosseum looking structure in the distance—this is the Art Museum. Continue walking up the hill in front of you to reach it.
How do I bid on art?
Now that you've reached the Art Museum, it's time to bid on some art. To do so, speak to the NPC standing next to the artwork, Quinn.
Upon speaking to Quinn, you will have the ability to place a bid on the artwork of the hour by inputting the number of coins you'd like to bid and pressing Place Bid. Each hour, one of the pieces of art from inside the museum is chosen to be auctioned off, meaning that at the end of each hour, the player with the highest bid will win the artwork and return it to their island. To participate in the auction, you will need to bid at least five million coins.
Some of the art pieces featured in the museum, which are all fan-made and taken directly from the Islands Discord, are pictured below.
