When does Resident Evil Village release on Mac?

Apple users get ready.

Horror knows no bounds. Capcom is pushing boundaries and turning Resident Evil Village into the next Skyrim by porting it to every version under the sun. Much to everyone's surprise, it would appear it's now coming to MacBook.

Resident Evil Village Heads to Mac

Resident Evil Village will be available to MacBook Pro and all Mac models with either an M1 or M2 chip. Capcom has teased the announcement twice but has yet to set a firm release date.

The MacBook Pro is no slouch when it comes to raw processing power. Depending on the model, it comes with one of three CPUs, the Apple M2 Chip, Apple M1 Pro Chip, or Apple M1 Max Chip. These range from an 8-Core to 10-Core CPU with up to a 32-Core GPU. On top of that, the MacBook Pro supports up to 64GB of unified memory and a maximum of 8TB of storage. Of course, this comes with a hefty price tag averaging between $1299 and $2499.

While it's shocking to see a major series like Resident Evil head to Mac, it's not surprising that the hardware in the new MacBook Pros can handle it. Is this a case of Apple trying to dip their toes back into the gaming market, or is it simply Capcom flinging their latest title everywhere it will stick?
