Finding weapons is an arduous task that requires you to put a lot of time into searching, sometimes even requiring you to replay certain levels. For example, the Pulse Rifle is a very effective, high-tech weapon known for its high accuracy but also for being very hard to find. I must admit, I had some trouble finding it myself. This article will help you find this elusive rifle.

How to find Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2, what are the Stats and Upgrades

To find the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2, you must first unlock the secret room in the Ascension Spire. To do this, you'll need to obtain the Decorum Cipher and the Memory Core II. These will allow you access to the room. Follow these steps to use them:

  • In Ward 13, interact with the Crystal and make sure you are in the World settings.
  • Select the Adventure mode on the right-hand side.
  • Select N'Erud.
  • Enter the Abyssal Rift. Look for the towering, four-armed statue holding up a small shining sphere in the distance because that's where you're going to be going next. The tower is called the Ascension Spire.
  • Once you approach the tower, enter the main room and immediately go left behind the first statue. You should see a hole in the ground.
  • Take the lift on the right and go all the way down. It will take you to a secret room fluctuating with purple energy.
  • Walk down the path made of hexagonal panels to a small room.
  • Once inside, you will see three pedestals with inlaid slots. Make sure that two of those are empty. If they are not, re-roll the session.
  • Once you make sure both of the slots are empty, you can work towards obtaining the Decorum Cipher and the Memory Core II.

Once you find both items, place them onto the two free pedestals inside the room with the purple pulsing energy. Doing so will open a secret room next to it, containing the Pulse Rifle next to two corpses and the Core Booster amulet.

Obtaining Decorum Cipher to unlock the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2

To obtain the Decorum Cipher, you must travel to the Terminus Station dungeon. If you follow the steps above, this dungeon is guaranteed to spawn somewhere in the world. You will have to find the exact location yourself since the game procedurally generates the dungeon's placement. If you still can't find the dungeon in the first open area of the world, continue completing the next main objective to unlock the second open area of the world and look for it there.

  • Once you enter the Terminus Station, keep going until you find the area with a Crystal checkpoint. Approach the crystal.
  • You should see a passageway blocked by the hanging pipes. Crouch past them.
  • Climb the ladders ahead and keep going straight.
  • You will reach an open area. Jump down on the platform below and descend through a rectangular opening.
  • In the room below, you will find an Atom Smasher, one of the best melee weapons in Remnant 2.
  • Make a 180-degree turn and approach the pedestal. Take the Decorum Cipher from the slot.

Obtaining Memory Core II to unlock the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2

To unlock the Pulse Rifle in Remnant 2, you must find the Dormant N'erudian Facility dungeon to obtain the second item, the Memory Core II. This dungeon is also guaranteed to spawn if you follow the steps from the first section.

  • Once you enter the Dormant N'erudian Facility dungeon, Find the checkpoint area with the Crystal. From there, head right to a walkway winding into a U-turn to the right.
  • Follow the walkway until you see a break in the fence on the left-hand side.
  • Look down carefully. You should see the pipes running across the chasm. You can shimmy down without falling to your death if you're slow enough.
  •  Turn left and enter a small, dimly-lit hallway overgrown with gray matter.
  • Follow the hallway until you reach an elevator. It will take you up to a room that looks like an alien laboratory. Follow the walkway past a giant purple vat and enter the control room. You will find the Biome-control glyph there.
  • Retrace your steps all the way to the beginning of the dungeon to access the room with the Memory Core II using the Biome-control glyph you obtained from the lab. You will also get a Toxic-Release Valve amulet there.
