Certain objects will also give more XP towards dismantling than others, such as dumpsters and fridges. You can also gain even more Metalworking XP if you read a Metalworking skill book before going on a dismantle run.

Skill books give an XP boost that varies on the level of the Skill book. So if you want good early Metalworking XP, you will need to read a Metalworking for beginners book.

However, you will need to make sure you have the right tools before you can dismantle metal objects. Luckily, it's easy to find out what tools you need.

In short, just right-click an object and then find the dismantle tab. Under the dismantle tab, you see the object's name you right-clicked in another tab.

Hold your cursor over the object's name, and it will display a list of information. Under this list, it will tell you what tools you need before you can dismantle the object.

This information tab will also display what skill the object falls under, along with tools. Because of this, we recommend using this information tab whenever you are unsure what an object's dismantle skill is.
