As time has gone on, it's been discovered that many of the dinosaurs we thought had scales actually have feathers. This theory has gotten to other dinosaurs, including the T-Rex. The developer, Blue Meridian, has shut down arguments over this topic due to how touchy the subject is.

Fortunately, the developers don't choose a side. They just want everyone to be able to choose how their dinosaur will look. There is, therefore, a high probability that more dinosaurs will be given skins that appeal to most popular theories about how they look.
