The Mega Evolutions for the Legendary Pokémon Latios and Latias are making their Pokémon Go debut with the latest Air Adventures event. The Air Adventures event will increase the odds of certain Pokémon spawning in the wild and in raids. As the title suggests, Air Adventures will focus on Pokémon that can fly or levitate. The event will start on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10am local time and end on Friday, May 8, 2022, at 8pm local time.
Flying Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Meowth, Psyduck, Doduo, Magikarp, Wingull, Swablu, and Drifloon will be more common in the wild during this event, and if players are really lucky, they may see a Charizard or Mantine in the wild. Charizard, Lapras, and Togekiss will appear in three-star raids during the event. Togepi, Mantyke, Emolga, and Noibat will hatch from 7km Eggs. Flying Pikachu, Doduo, Swablu, and Emolga will appear during Field Research task encounters.

Players will be able to encounter Mega Latios and Mega Latias in Mega Raids. Latias will know the exclusive move Mist Ball, whereas Latios will know Luster Purge. Completing Timed Research during the Air Adventure event will reward players with 50 Latias Mega Energy and 50 Latios Mega Energy. These energies will help players improve their odds of encountering Latios and Latias.
Most Pokémon that are part of the event have an increased chance of being shiny. Players will also be able to get event-themed stickers during the event period.
