Is Guzzlord good for PvP battles in Pokemon GO?

Is this Ultra Beast any good?

Niantic is on a roll with Ultra Beasts in Pokémon GO. They have been adding Ultra Beasts since Pokémon GO Fest 2022, with the most recent addition seemingly being Guzzlord. Guzzlord was teased during the Halloween Event celebration and appeared in the background of the game's new loading screen.

Is Guzzlord good in PvP battles?

Guzzlord is a Dragon and Dark-type Pokémon. The only family of Pokémon that share these typings in Pokémon GO are Deino, Zweilous, and Hydreigon. Many players wonder how viable this Ultra Beast will be in PvP battles and other combat-focused activities. As far as Guzzlord's moveset goes, the Pokémon has access to some powerful moves but is outpaced by many other Dragon and Dark-type Pokémon.

Guzzlord will rank on the very low end of the Dragon-type attackers in Pokémon GO, so we suggest using a stronger option like Dragonite or Garchomp when Dragon-type moves are needed. The same is true for Dark-type Pokémon in the game, with Guzzlord being only a mid-tier attacker. To best take advantage of Guzzlord's capabilities, it will do best in Ultra or Great League battles if it needs to be used. Master League attackers will overwhelm Guzzlord in a head-to-head fight, so it's best avoided in this scenario.
