How to get the Pokétch in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The one tool people of Sinnoh can't live without.

The Pokémon Watch, or Pokétch for short, is a returning electronic feature in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It has a ton of apps such as a Step Counter (useful for egg hatching), a Party menu, a Friendship Checker, a Hidden Moves menu, an Item Finder, and even a Marking Map. Here’s how to get the Pokétch in the Sinnoh remakes.

How to get the Pokétch in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The Pokétch can be received in Jubilife City after you’ve met Barry. A man will prevent you from going to the next area until you’ve located three clowns and answered all their Pokémon-related questions. The answer is “Yes” to all three of them.

The clowns will give you three coupons, which you can then trade the man for a Pokétch.

The Pokétch will permanently appear in the upper-right corner of your screen. You can change the active app by pressing R+A or by touching the screen.

How to remove the Pokétch from my screen?

If the Pokétch’s appearance bothers you, you can remove it by long pressing R. You can boot it up again with another quick R press.
