Can you catch a shiny Hisuian Growlithe in Pokémon GO?

At the time of writing, Hisuian Growlithe cannot be shiny in Pokémon GO. The Pokémon's regular form can be shiny, though it is not very sought after since the color variation isn't very different from its normal color. Growlithe has had its shiny form in the game for quite some time so fans may be given the chance to catch the Galarian shiny soon.

It is possible that Niantic will add Hisuian Growlithe's shiny form at a later date. Galarian Zigzagoon was featured in August 2022's Community Day event, so there is precedent for regional forms being put in the spotlight. Until then, players will have to hunt for the shiny form of Growlithe's regular form. While it is not as spectacular as the Galarian variant, Growlithe is one of the best Fire-type fighters in the game and can make a great addition to any trainer's team.
