Shiny Pokémon, though hard to find, are extremely popular and sought-after in Pokémon GO. Niantic adds new shiny forms frequently, but not all Pokémon have their elusive counterpart added to the mobile game. This may leave fans wondering which Pokémon can be shiny and which can't. Blitzle is a Pokmon with a distinct shiny and is often featured in events and celebrations within Pokémon GO. Blitzle can be shiny in GO when encountered in the wild or any other way.
How to catch a shiny Blitzle in Pokémon GO
Blitzle, and its evolution Zebstrika, can be shiny in Pokémon GO. The easiest way to get ahold of one of these Pokémon is during an event in which they are frequently featured in. Blitzle's shiny form takes the grey body and turns it into a deep electric blue, and also switches the ear/eye color from blue to green, making this an easy shiny to spot.
Events like the Crackling Voltage celebration, which brought back Tapu Koko to Raid battles, also features these two Pokémon and their shiny forms, making them hatchable in Eggs. Outside of events, players may have a hard time coming across these Pokémon, but they can sometimes be found as Egg hatches, roaming in the wild, or potentially as Raid bosses in the future.
