What do Trade Codes do in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Teal Mask DLC?
Trade codes can be used between friends to make specific trades, but you can also use predetermined and universally known trade codes to get specific Pokémon. Using trade codes allows you to get version exclusive Pokémon you normally wouldn't be able to get, and lets you evolve Pokémon that have trade evolutions.
Why aren't my Trade Codes working in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
The most common reason will be that your internet connection is poor. Check your connection and ensure you have a strong internet connection. Do not disconnect during a trade or it can cause the trade to fail. It's also possible that you entered the code wrong, which may cause the other player to be expecting a different Pokémon.
For many reasons, the trade partner may cancel the trade. You may have offered the wrong Pokémon, they could have hit the wrong button, or they just changed their mind. Ensure you have entered the code correctly and are offering the correct Pokémon. Other players may also enter the codes incorrectly, so do not trade your Pokémon if they are not offering the requested Pokémon. You can cancel the trade and simply start another trade.
