What are the best natures for Iron Crown in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Iron Crown is essentially a Special Attacker now. It doesn't have the speed that Cobalion had, but it hits hard on the Special side. Therefore, the best natures for Iron Crown are:

  • Timid (+Speed, -Atk)
  • Modest (+Sp Atk, -Atk)

Timid is what Iron Crown should be running most of the time. This allows it to out-speed threats like offensive Landorus-T, Galarian Moltres and Kommo-O. With 122 base Special Attack, moves like Tachyon Cutter will still hit hard without a boosting nature.

Iron Crown gets access to Calm Mind, which makes Modest Iron Crown an option. It will lose some key speed matchups, but Modest will allow it to deal with Garganacl and Corviknight better. Of course, you could run Calm Mind on Timid Iron Crown, but you will have to boost up more times to get kills on the more defensive Pokémon.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Any Pokemon's best nature entirely depends on the role that it's playing, which can depend on the team surrounding it. As for Iron Crown, it might need to do the sweeping if it's paired with a Landorus-T, Sinistcha, or similar Pokémon. When paired with a Greninja and a Meowscarada, though, Iron Crown can afford to be more of a wall breaker.
