Which are the best natures for Hydrapple in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk?

The best natures for Hydrapple in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the following:

  • Calm (+Sp. Defense, -Attack)
  • Bold (+Defense, -Attack)

Hydrapple is one of the slower Pokémon in the Blueberry Pokédex, so if you want to make sure it survives most competitive battles, you’ll want to tank it up. The best way to go about this is to increase its Defense or Sp. Defense. I would build mine Bold, just because Hydrapple’s Defense is already high, and pit it against physical attackers like Salamence. But Calm provides it with an overall more balanced defense.

How to choose the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Nature doesn’t matter very much unless you’re going to take your to PvP… or more difficult competitive battles like Blueberry Academy. Nature dictates which stat gets a 10% boost in growth rate and what gets a 10% decrease in exchange. There are also natures that neither boost nor stunt any stat, like Hardy and Docile.
