Fan of the Pokémon franchise can finally get their hands on the highly-anticipated Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a new mainline entry in the series that exposes players to the new Hisui region. Here players can encounter new variations of familiar Pokémon, like a Hisuian version of Sneasel. Still, those looking for the original variant of this Gen II Pokémon can track the Johto version down with the correct information.
Johtonian Sneasel's Location
Johtonian Sneasel has a specific spawn location in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You can pick this rare Pokémon up in the following area:
- Obsidian Fieldlands: Spawns in Space-Time Distortions that occasionally occur in this map. Space-Time Distortions unlock automatically as part of the story in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Space-Time Distortions can spawn anywhere in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
- Johtonian Sneasel's evolution, Weavile, can also be found in these Space-Time Distortions.

How to catch Johtonian Sneasel
Once players find Johto's Sneasel variant in the Obsidian Fieldlands, they'll be able to capture it by battling. Make sure to bring along some Great or Ultra Balls for the fight, and ensure your party has a Steel Fighting, Fire, Rock, Fairy, or Bug-type Pokémon, as Sneasel is weak to each of these types. Use moves from these types to deal significant damage to the Dark / Ice-type Pokémon. Once Sneasel's health is low, toss your Pokéballs for a higher catch rate.
Johtonian Sneasel's Evolution
Sneasel does not evolve via leveling. Instead, players will evolve this Pokémon with other methods.
Conditions:
- Sneasel evolves into Weavile when exposed to a Razor Claw at night.
Razor Claws are a rare overworld spawn. If you don't have any luck finding it in the open world, it is available for purchase at the Trading Post in Jubilife Village for 1,400 Merit Points. Once you have a Razor Claw, open your bag, select the item, and use it on Johto Sneasel at night to initiate the evolution.
