Where to find Cyndaquil and how to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

If you don't make it your starter.

As a starter in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, many players are curious to know if there is some way to get Cyndaquil if we haven't chosen it as their companion. The good news is that you can get it, but the bad news is that it's only possible in specific circumstances.

Cyndaquil Locations

There are two locations where you can get Cyndaquil.

  • Crimson Mirelands: You'll find Cyndaquil in some space-time distortions on Crimson Mirelands, which is highlighted on the map below.
  • Professor Laventon: When you have completed the main story, you can get a Cyndaquil from Professor Laventon in his office. However, this only applies if you didn't choose it as your Starter.

How to catch Cyndaquil

Cyndaquil can be caught like any other Pokémon when you are in a space-time distortion. Like with other Pokémon games, you can greatly increase your chance of success by weakening Cyndaquil first. Cyndaquil is weak against Ground, Rock, and Water attacks, so be sure to bring a Pokémon with those types of attacks if when you want to catch a Cyndaquil.

Cyndaquil Evolutions

Cyndaquil is the first form in its evolutionary line. It can be evolved by going into your Pokémon stash and manually evolving it once it has met the right conditions.

  • Conditions
    • Must be level 17 to evolve into Quilava.
    • Must be level 36 to evolve into Typhlosion.

That's everything you need to know about how to get a Cyndaquil!
