Pokémon Legends: Arceus introduces several new mechanics in this entry, including the ability for Pokémon to master moves, but how can players master action types, and what happens when they do?

Trainers can master moves in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by leveling up a Pokémon with these moves equipped. We recommend leveling party members by battling wild Pokémon to unlock new moves styles, especially early in the game.

Mastering moves in Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows Pokémon to use different styles of these moves: Strong Style and Agile Style. Each of these move types augments how attacks behave in battle.

Strong Style attacks increase damage by 25% while slowing the attacker down in the Action Order menu. Agile Style moves bolster Pokémon speed in the Action Order menu but lower attack strength by 25%. Learning how to balance these move types in battle is essential to trainer success, especially in more challenging battles of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
