How to delete your save data in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Only do this if you are sure.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the newest entry and the Pokémon series and brings many returning features and introduces new ones. One that it brings from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is an autosave feature. While this is normally a good feature, it can mess up your game.

Turn off autosaving to prevent running your shiny hunt or perfect nature hunt. If you accidentally saved when you didn't mean to or autosave ruined your chain, you can always reset your save data. Here is how to delete your save data in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

  • From the Switch home screen, open the System Settings.
  • Go to Data Management.
  • Select Delete Save Data at the bottom.
  • Select Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
  • Select which delete option you prefer.
  • Confirm you want to delete your save data for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Keep in mind that there is no retrieving your data once you delete it, so make sure this is what you want to do. Deleting your save data will let you restart your game if you messed up or want a fresh start, so only use it as a last resort.
