Ice-T, perhaps best known for his long run on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, is no stranger to the world of video games. As such, it should come as no surprise to see him introduce a Payday 3 trailer as part of Gamescom 2023.
Payday 3 Gamescom 2023 trailer
Payday 3, just like Killing Floor 3, is the third installment in the hit first-person shooter franchise. Payday 3 is set to be released on September 21, so the wait is nearly over.
In the trailer, we get a glimpse at a mission, narrated by Ice-T no less, that shows off a bit of what to expect. Fans of the series won't be surprised, but newcomers might be swayed by the freedom shown off. You can go in guns blazing or take a stealth approach, all in a fully co-op setting. Payday 3 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.

What to expect in Payday 3
Payday 3 will see the return of the original crew from Payday 1, so there will be some payoff there for players who have been there since the beginning. In all likelihood, you should be able to hop on without having played the other games, but there will be some plot points you're missing out on.
The main draw of the Payday series is the co-op play that'll allow you to complete missions with up to four players. Payday 2 has over 30 missions to complete, so there's a lot of playtime to be had there. It's not yet confirmed how many missions we'll have in Payday 3, but with DLC coming out over time, we will probably see a number around or higher than 30.
