How to play the Payday 3 Closed Beta - Steam and Xbox
To sign up and register for the Payday 3 closed beta, there are a couple of different ways to join depending on your platform. This will change the sign up method. Here is how to join the Payday 3 beta.
- Steam
- Go to the Steam Store page.
- Click the Request Access button.
- Xbox
- Go to Xbox Insider Hub.
- Go to Previews.
- Select Payday 3.
- Sign up.

Will progress from the Payday 3 Beta carry over?
The answer is no—no progress or unlocks from the Payday 3 beta will carry over to the full release. This is true of both the Xbox and Steam version of the beta. While this may be disappointing for those who play the beta, it will keep everyone on equal footing for launch day.
When does the Payday 3 Closed Beta start?
The closed beta for Payday 3 will run from August 2, 2023, through August 7, 2023. This gives players a five days to try out the closed beta ahead of release. Keep in mind that you are not guaranteed access if you sign up, so take advantage of it if you get in.
