As a builder in My Time at Sandrock, you will need to gather a lot of material to meet the requests of the townsfolk and complete commissions. You will also need to use several machines. You need many resources, especially for later recipes, that can be found in Abandoned Ruins. This may leave you wondering how to unlock and get into the Abandoned Ruins.
Early on in My Time at Sandrock, Rocky and Yan will commission you to build a crane lift for the Eufaula Salvage Yard. Once you complete this quest, Rocky will grant you access to the Abandoned Ruins.
How to get into the Abandoned Ruins
After completing this quest and unlocking the Abandoned Ruins, you can enter them through the Eufaula Salvage Yard. Take the lift that you just completed, and you will descend to the bottom. There will be a gaping cave that you can enter. This will take you to the Abandoned Ruins. You will need to pay the 200 Gol to get into the Eufaula Salvage Yard, but this grants you access to the salvage yard and the Abandoned Ruins. Just make sure you get your money's worth.
How to use the Relic Scanner
An important tool you will need inside the Abandoned Ruins is the Relic Scanner. All you have to do to use it is press the F key. This will turn on your Relic Scanner and pinpoint the location of Relics. You will see yellow and purple dots—yellow shows where the Relics are while purple shows you that you the way deeper into the Ruins.
