The Mob Vote is easily one of the best parts of Minecraft Live. Not only does it show off the new mobs that might join Minecraft, but it allows fans and the community to come together and determine a small part of Minecraft's future. The Minecraft Live 2023 Mob Vote is shaping up nicely, kicking off with the reveal of the first mob, which is the Crab.
Minecraft Crab revealed for Minecraft 2023 Mob Vote
The first mob for the Minecraft Live 2023 Mob Vote was revealed to be the Crab on the Minecraft YouTube channel. According to the reveal video, "The crab makes its home in the mangrove swamp and has one enormous claw! It doesn't just use it for waving at players (hello!) - this giant claw is actually very special." If the Crab wins the Mob Vote, you'll be able to locate this cute critter in Mangrove Swamp biomes.

The special function of the Crab Claw allows players to place blocks further away, extending their reach when building. Players will have to get their hands on this claw, which hopefully doesn't involve stealing it from Crabs by killing them, but we'll have to wait and see how the Crab Claw can be obtained.
The Crab is only one of three Mobs taking part in the Mob Vote, with the other two yet to be revealed. Minecraft Live launches on October 15, 2023, at 5pm UTC and will be active for 48 hours but closes 15 minutes prior to the show. You'll need to cast your vote from October 13, 2023, to this time if you want to give your favorite Mob a chance to win!
