Minecraft Live is a special event hosted by Mojang. Though the event is pretty comprehensive, my favorite part has always been the Minecraft Mob Vote. Three mobs compete each year to garner enough votes to join the game. The reveals for each mob always get me excited, making the lead-up to Minecraft Live extra special. Let's look at all three Mobs participating in the Minecraft Live 2023 Mob Vote, which you can find on the Minecraft YouTube channel.
All Mobs in the Minecraft Mob Vote 2023
The Minecraft Live Mob Vote allows players to vote between three different Mobs, with the winner being added to the game. The Sniffer claimed victory in the 2022 Minecraft Mob Vote, but it remains to be seen which Mob will win the 2023 Mob Vote. But first, you need to know what mobs you can vote for!
Minecraft Crab
The Crab was revealed as the first Mob in Minecraft Mob Vote on October 3, 2023. It can be found in Mangrove Swamps, and if players can get their hands on its claw, they'll gain a special power. The Crab Claw item allows players to place blocks further away, which is super helpful for large builds. While the Crab Claw is a handy item, you'll also notice Crabs waving hello with their giant claw!
Minecraft Armadillo
The Armadillo was the next mob to be revealed for the vote, and it calls the savannah biome home. Like the Crab, it drops a unique item, but you'll need to startle it first. Once startled, the Armadillo drops a Scute, which can be crafted into armor; but instead of wearing it yourself, this armor is for your pet wolf!
Minecraft Penguin
The final mob revealed for the Mob Vote in Minecraft 2023 was the Penguin. These adorable and social creatures are found wondering and waddling around stony shores biomes. Penguins are a bit clumsy on land but much more graceful and elegant in water, so much so that they can help your boat go faster in water!
When is Minecraft Live 2023?
Minecraft Live takes place on October 15, 2023, but the voting begins 48 hours before the show starts and ends 15 minutes before. Voting begins on October 13, 2032, at 5pm UTC in the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition event server, the Minecraft Launcher, or Minecraft.net, giving players plenty of opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite Mob.
