One of Nintendo's most significant releases in 2021 is Metroid Dread, the long-awaited return of classic Metroid games. The fifth mainline Metroid game comes 19 years after the last entry, Metroid Fusion, launched on the GameBoy Advance, and fans are eager to get their hands on it. It's essential to know how much space to have free on their Nintendo Switch beforehand as well.
Surprisingly, the game is far smaller than users anticipated. Metroid Dread takes up exactly 4.1 GB of storage when purchased digitally on the Nintendo Switch. Those who buy the physical version of Metroid Dread will need even less space, as physical media significantly reduces file size on Nintendo's portable console.
