MAGLAM LORD stands out from other JRPG's thanks to its extremely unique character designs. The characters look just like they popped out of a high-budget anime series. You are probably wondering who the artists behind these designs are and why they are so appealing.
The character design in Maglam Lord was done by Lack. He is most well-known for designing the Fate character Okada Izo. He has also worked with Hololive to help produce characters. Interestingly, his appearance is a mystery. On his profile, he depicts himself as a man with a coffee cup for a head.
MAGLAM LORD is the first series that he designed the entire cast for. If you look at his designs on his social media accounts, though, it's easy to see why he was recruited to draw the Demon Lord and their friends, as well as the game's illustrations.
Seeing an out-of-the-box game hire a new designer is always a treat, as new and interesting designs are sure to come about. Hopefully, we will be able to see more of Lack's works on other games in the near future.
