Why is multiplayer not working in Killing Floor 2 on Epic Games?

Why is multiplayer broken?

If you are wondering why multiplayer is currently not working for Killing Floor 2 on Epic Games, it's not presently known. However, the developers have acknowledged that there is a problem with trying to play Killing Floor 2 on Epic Games, so a fix should be released soon. Because of this, there is not much else players can do beyond just waiting for Tripwire Interactive to fix it. Some general fixes you can try but are not guaranteed to work are the following:

What is the Multiplayer not working error in Killing Floor 2 on Epic Games?

The current multiplayer error prevents players who own Killing Floor 2 on Epic Games from using the Find a game and Join game options. In short, no matter what players do, both options do not work and prevent players from finding and joining games in Killing Floor 2.

There is also nothing major players can do to fix the problem, so multiplayer is stagnant on Epic Games until the problem is solved. We imagine the error is probably due to some strange server issue or too many players trying to play the game at once, but this is purely speculation. It might be the latter of the two, as the error appeared around the same time the game went free on Epic Games.
