What are bones – How to get them in Inscryption

Bad to the bone.

Inscryption is a unique deck-building game that has a horror theme. It capitalizes on the horror theme and has a dark atmosphere that will surely unsettle the player. If that wasn't enough, even how one plays the card game is sinister, specifically with summoning.

There are two ways to summon cards. The first one that is shown to the player is blood which is gained by sacrificing cards. The second method comes after the player fails a run. This is summoning cards by spending bones.

Bones are gained through a couple of different methods. The first and most obvious is by your cards dying. Each one will place a bone token on your side of the table. These are used to summon bone cards. This means that as your cards are destroyed, you gain more resources.

The other methods are by sigils, items, or boons. These are not as reliable as getting bones through your cards dying. The upside though is that they tend to give you more bones at once or allow you to start a match with some bones. Having a mix of bone and blood cards is ideal as you can continually summon cards without running out of a single resource.
