Pitch-Dark Hook the Great is the boss of Honkai: Star Rail's Underworld group called The Moles, a group of adventure-loving children who are always getting themselves into all kinds of trouble. From exploring the Fragmentum to taking part in the dangerous Fight Club, there's no stopping Hook and her friends from following their dreams. Even I find myself rooting for them and hoping that they make it past Natasha's watchful eyes. In battle, she's a four-star Fire Element that follows the Path of Destruction.
Best Light Cones for Hook in Honkai Star Rail
Hook is best paired with a Light Cone that can boost her ATK, which will help her dish out more DMG in battle. Additionally, since she applies Burn onto enemies, she can also use Light Cones that offer bonuses against Burning enemies. Consider using the following Light Cones on Hook:
- On the Fall of an Aeon - A great five-star option that allows Hook to stack ATK the more times they attack enemies.
- The Moles Welcome You - Similar to the five-star option above, this Light Cone allows Hook to stack ATK for every Basic ATK, Skill, and Ultimate she casts.
- Woof! Walk Time! (best-in-slot) - This four-star is arguably the best for Hook as it offers both a flat ATK boost and an additional DMG boost against enemies inflicted with Burn.
Best Free-to-Play Light Cone for Hook
Both of Hook's best-in-slot Light Cone can be obtained for free, so you can aim for it from the get-go without spending any money. You can get Woof! Walk Time! from World Shop spending rewards and the Forgotten Hall store.

Best Relics for Hook in Honkai Star Rail
The best Relic set for Hook is a combination of two pieces of Firesmith of Lava-Forging and two pieces of Musketeer of Wild Wheat. When combined, they offer straightforward stat boosts that are useful for Hook's overall DMG.
- Firesmith of Lava-Forging
- Two-piece bonus: Increases Fire DMG by 10 percent.
- Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- Two-piece bonus: ATK increases by 10 percent.
Which stats should you boost on Hook?
For Relic stats, focus on building a balance of CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and ATK, while paying attention to the minimum requirement for your Planar Ornaments' passive. I also recommend wearing SPD shoes when you manage to obtain a good pair.

Best Planar Ornaments for Hook in Honkai Star Rail
Hook can use the following Planar Ornament sets. For stats, focus on Fire DMG and offensive stats, such as ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG.
- Celestial Differentiator - Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16 percent. When the wearer's current CRIT DMG reaches 120 percent or higher, after entering battle, the wearer's CRIT Rate increases by 60 percent until the end of their first attack.
- Space Sealing Station - Increases the wearer's ATK by 12 percent. When the wearer's SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer's ATK increases by another 12 percent.
Both of the above Planar Ornament sets have a minimum stat requirement (Crit DMG or SPD). We recommend picking the set you're able to meet the stat requirement for.
Best Hook team comp in Honkai Star Rail
Hook pairs well in a triple Fire team with Fire Trailblazer (shielder) and Asta (buffer). While both of them play useful roles in the team, going fully mono-Fire may not be ideal for breaking enemies' Weakness, so being in a healer of a different element to occupy the fourth slot.
