Taming beasts and caring for them is probably one of the best additions to the already fantastic, magical experience that is Hogwarts Legacy. Not only are you rescuing these creatures, but they also provide essential materials for you as well. Among these beasts are some particularly rare specimens called Shiny Beasts. They are some of the most rare magical beasts around the world and can come in some unique colors. We made a list of all the types you can find and how to get them.

How to get a Shiny Beast in Hogwarts Legacy
You can determine whether a beast is Shiny by the small + or sparkle sign icon near their name. Shiny beasts are randomly generated at any of the above beasts' usual den locations scattered around the map. This means there are no guarantees when or if you will find one. The best way to try and get one, if you don't stumble upon one on your first try, is to press R3, waiting until night or day. Then, save your game and reload, allowing a new beast to spawn. You can keep trying this as many times as you need to try and get one to generate.
Once you locate a Shiny, use your Nab-Sack to tame it as you normally do with other beasts. Then you can release the beast into your Vivarium. You'll definitely want to try and breed these beasts in an attempt to make more Shiny beasts, though there is a 50/50 chance of this happening unless you are using two Shiny beasts. They sell for greater amounts of Galleons than other beasts and can be a great way to earn money fast. Unless you'd rather keep your collection full of all these adorable pets, of course.
