How to go to the Sumeru desert in Genshin Impact

When you first step foot into the land of wisdom, you'll be greeted by lush rainforests and trees that reach the sky—but head west, and you'll encounter historical wonders, from sand dunes to stony architecture, encompassing a massive desert expanse. Here's how you can begin exploring Sumeru's beautiful desert.

How to get to Sumeru's desert area in Genshin Impact

To get to the desert, you first need to head to Sumeru's rainforest area via a path from The Chasm. Bear in mind that you need to meet the following prerequisites to do so:

Once you've unlocked and lit up World Map by interacting with various Statues of The Seven spread across the rainforest region, head to Caravan Ribat to begin a short trek toward Aaru Village. This small Village is home to the first Statue of The Seven in the desert. Interacting with it will light up the Land of Lower Setekh on the World Map, which will make exploring a lot easier.

Alternatively, you can follow the Sumeru Archon Quest Chapter III: Act III - Dreams, Emptiness, Deception. In the third segment called The Four at Loggerheads, Alhaitham will lead you toward Aaru Village.
