With the latest major update to Genshin Impact, along with it comes a new region, new quests, new materials, and new recipes! There's tons of stuff you can do, so we hope you have plenty of time!
How to get Butter in Genshin Impact
To get butter in Genshin Impact, you need to process milk using a cooking pot or the Adepti Seeker's Stove. Using one of these appliances, instead of cooking, you use the next tab, which is called Processing. Here you can turn ingredients into other ingredients. In this case, as long as you have two milk to turn into a single butter, then you are golden.
Milk is not a hard thing to come across, as there are two shops in the land of Teyvat that sells it for 100 Mora. In Mondstadt, the shop is called Mondstadt General Goods, and in Liyue, the shop is called Second Life. You can only buy 100 of these at each shop, and stocks refresh daily, so you can always pick up more. Though we're sure, you have no need for 200 bottles of Milk!

If you have been leveling up your Reputation with Mondstadt and Liyue, to at least up to level 4, you will actually receive a 10% discount and be able to buy Milk for 90 Mora!
To process ingredients is very simple; we have a guide on how to do it, so check that for more in-depth instructions. But basically, go to a cooking pot or use your Adepti Seeker's Stove, head to the processing tab, and click on the butter icon. If it is greyed out, you do not have the ingredients to process it. If you do, you can click on it, and then you can allot how many you want to be processed.
Remember, this process takes time, and to process butter; it actually takes 5 minutes of real-world time. Meaning if you are making 10, this will take 50 mins to do so. Though this is no time at all if you are exploring the new Dragonspine region of 1.2!
