It's understandable that you want to find a way to play Fortnite on your Chromebook, but it can be complicated. Using Amazon Luna can help greatly, but not everyone has this option.
If you can get access to Luna, you'll have an easier time with playing Fortnite. But consider the restrictions of your Chromebook if it's been issued by your school.
Can you play Fortnite on a Chromebook?
Fortnite has not historically been intended for Chromebook, but that changed with the creation of Amazon Luna. A cloud gaming service, Amazon Luna takes away the need for large storage or other features that are normally needed to run a game like Fortnite on a Chromebook. Now, players can access the game on their small laptops.
How to play Fortnite on a Chromebook with Amazon Luna
If you want to use Amazon Luna to play Fortnite on your Chromebook, don't fret! It's really easy to set up and takes no time at all. Just take these steps:
- Go to the Amazon Luna webpage for Fortnite
- Click Play and sign in or create an Epic Games account
- Enjoy playing Fortnite on your Chromebook!
How to play Fortnite on a school Chromebook
Trying to play Fortnite on a school-issued Chromebook is going to be even more tricky, thanks to restrictions in place. All schools are different, but many disable developer features and allegedly distracting websites from student use. If your school allows access to Amazon Luna, you will probably have an easy time, though.
Some may want to download unofficial versions of Fortnite, but we don't recommend it. Even if you do manage to download the unofficial version, you're running the risk of attracting viruses to your Chromebook. If you do not actually own your Chromebook, you'll want to reconsider trying risky methods like APK installation. It may be possible to use the Xbox Cloud Gaming method, but many schools tend to have these sorts of services blocked.
