In LEGO Fortnite, Iron is one of the rare resources required for various purposes, so you need to know where to find this material. I've explored various biomes to find the rarest resources and here's how you can get Iron in-game.
Where to find Iron in LEGO Fortnite
Iron (metal) is an Epic resource that can be found inside Lava Caves located in the Frostland biome in LEGO Fortnite. These caves can be exceptionally tough to navigate as they are filled with skeletons, wolves, spiders, and other powerful enemies. Likewise, there are no light sources inside these caves, so visibility can be a massive factor. I recommend building campfires or other light decorations after entering a cave to navigate smoothly.
Remember, you cannot harvest Iron without the proper tools. To harvest Iron from deposits, you need to craft an Epic Pickaxe. Upgrade your Crafting Bench, and make the Epic Pickaxe using Obsidian Slab and Frostpine Rod. Once it is ready, visit a Lava Cave to start harvesting Iron.
Stand in front of the Iron deposits inside a Lava Cave, and use your Epic Pickaxe tool to break these nodes. If the Iron deposit is located on the cave's ceiling, build a Rustic Stair using Wood to reach the spot. I recommend making several Storage Chests if you are farming different types of materials for upgrades and crafting.
Iron is a resource required to craft and build different items. You can also manufacture Iron Bars by using a Metal Smelter. The recipe to craft Iron Bars is one piece of Iron and two pieces of Brightcore. I am still unlocking more uses with this item, and will update this section after discovering more recipes.
